Laszlo Simon was born in Hungary in 1948. In 1966 he emigrated to Sweden and lives today in Berlin. He studied in Stockholm, Hannover, London and New York with Hans Leygraf, Ilona Kabos and Claudio Arrau. Laszlo Simon has been awarded international prizes at the Casagrande, Geneva and Busoni Competitions. He was Jury member in international competitions in Barcelona, Luxembourg, Porto and Prague (Spring Festival). He made his debut in Hungary in 1966 and has given concerts world-wide ever since. Mr. Laszlo has taught in many major institutions in Europe and Scandinavia and was head of the Piano Department of the Royal College of Music iru Stockholm. He is a professor at the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin and also regularly gives classes at the Musashino Music Academy in Tokyo.
