In November 19th-21st, 2006, the Director of the International Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (IPPC), Mr Henryk Martenka spent his time in Petersburg ( Russia). The main aim was the preparation to the preselection audition, which will be in May 2007 in Petersburg, open for   Russian, Ukrainian and Belorussian students.

They spoke with Professor Aleksander Orlovietski, the performing pianist and The Juror of The VII IPPC in Bydgoszcz, the manager of the Methodology Teaching Cathedral form the Petersburg Conservatory Professor Dymitr Czasowitin as well as Siergiej Roldugin,the Director of the Music House in Petersburg.

In the Conservatory, the most of the important musical pedagogical institutions in Europe, Mr. Martenka had a lecture for the piano students. He spoke about the Piano Competitions in Poland, the person of Ignacy Jan Paderewski the Regulations of the nearest Competition in Bydgoszcz.He has passed the copy of the Regulation of The VII IPPC, posters ofthe Competition as well as CD with Paderewski's composition tunes to Professor Czasowitinow.

In the Music House, the new pedagogical-impresario institution in Petersburg, Mr. Martenka discussed the preselection rules, the part of the Polish Juror and the informative campaign to the VII IPPC. The Music House is deal with looking for the talents in Russian higher education and preparing them to the International Piano Competitions. That's way Professor Roldugin is open to co-operation with The VII IPPC.

 The management of the Music House bound oneself to informing about The IPPC  - the all universities in Moskow, in Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan,N ovosibirsk, Odessa, and also in Kiev, Minsk and in the capitals of Baltic states, everyplace where the Music House has the checked contacts.
